Matthew Noble has been our Manager of Special Projects for several years now and anytime that we receive a unique or special product request, we turn to Matthew for his expertise and craftsmanship in filling that request. He has custom produced all types of specialty wood accents such as wood inlays, rosettes, counter tops, cutting blocks and even picture frames.
Recently, Matthew has been working with new finishing techniques and products. Over the last several months we have been working with a lot of new installers. (There will be more information about these new installers in future entries). These new installers have really opened our eyes to the possibilities that exist with stains, finish techniques and finish products. We are in the process of adding on to our facility to give Matthew even more room to experiment with our wood samples to create more unique looks through the use of stains, finishes and specialty hand tools.
We have invited several new stain and finish suppliers to come in and show us their newest products. It is amazing what science has done with simple stains and finishes to make them more beautiful and more durable.
We will be frequently adding new entries about Matthew and his custom finish work to the blog. We want to display the new “looks” that we are working on in our custom finish department so that our readers are aware of all the possibilities that exist.
