Eastern North Carolina has been growing tobacco for well over a century. During that time, the region became the largest producer of tobacco in the world. After harvesting the tobacco, it had to be "cured" in barns before it was sold. The barns were heated to extreme temperatures to remove all of the moisture from the tobacco leaves. As technology improved, metal barns became the more efficient choice for farmers, thus making the old wooden barns obsolete. We salvage the wood from the curing barns that still dot the countryside to create the Legacy Collection, which includes three matchless, distressed flooring styles.
