The Currituck – Maple Plank
Maple, Acer saccharum Marsh, comes from the Celtic word Acer, which means “hard” and the Latin word Saccharin, meaning “sweet”. It is moderately dense and takes stain beautifully.
One of the unique characteristics of the Maple tree is its spring sap run. It is much like the spring call of the coast, which brings us out of winter hibernation and back to nature. This flooring works well in modern applications due to it’s fluidity and lack of prominent graining.
