Halifax Installation in Georgian Home

The reclaimed heart of pine came from large beams and 2 by 12 boards from an old tobacco barn located on a family farm that is no longer used for agricultural cultivation. The wood is rustic but has good heart pine content in the boards. The floors have wormy and buggy holes from the wood sitting out on the farm for so many years. However, after kiln drying the wood all the insects have been exterminated and the floors have a lot of character.

My father and I were always wondering what to do with all of the old beautiful wood on our family farm in the country. We discovered Heritage Wide Plank Floors and they offered to custom mill the wood into flooring. Since we moved into our house I have relatives in other parts of the state who want to reclaim barns on their farm properties to mill into flooring.

We used all reclaimed tobacco barn heart pine flooring, exposed rustic beams, mantles and stair treads inside the house. The materials we used really make the house stick out and received wonderful response from those who have viewed the house.”

The reclaimed tobacco barn plank flooring installed in this home was wood that was taken from the family farm’s many unused tobacco barns. The wood is very unique with its dark look and noticeable knots, scattered nail holes and original circular saw marks.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can only comment on the owners of Heritage Plank Floors since I didn't need floors. I google searched places to buy paint in Ayden because I didn't have a ride to Greenville.  Heritage popped up.  The owner,  Drock told me Lowes was the closest place for paint, then offered to pick it up for me since he was going there.  Now that is truly going above and beyond for a stranger. Not even a customer, but when the time comes for new floors, this is where I'll be.....
