The county of Halifax is one of the original birthplaces of freedom in America. People of this county created the "Halifax Resolves," a document allowing their delegates to advocate for independence from Britain before the Continental Congress in Philadelphia. Since then, Halifax County has produced more governors, congressman, and generals than any other county in North Carolina. Honoring their contribution to the character of North Carolina and America is seen through our character-grade pine flooring and mantle pieces.
