Guilford County has long been home to the textile industry in what is now known as the Triad region of North Carolina. The industry utilized enormous mills for the mass production of textiles such as denim. With the downfall of the industry, the lumber that the mills contained is now available for flooring. The huge beams which supported the mills yield wide plank flooring of a tremendous quality. The Guilford pays homage to the heritage of a lost North Carolina industry

The Guilford has a very high wood quality but is a slight grade below The Beaufort. This grade contains high heartwood content but differs from The Beaufort due to its grain pattern and a slightly higher prevalence of imperfections. The Guilford is our more popular grade due to its versatility and is a perfect fit for any application.
